I started Judo at 9 years old at a local club which i continued for 2 years.
In my mid 20's I had renewed interest and have been involved in this dynamic sport ever since. I have been practicing Judo for 20 years and for the last 10 I have been coaching in local schools and community classes to all age groups and ability levels from reception to adult.
Coaches children, youths and adults from grassroots play Judo to players achieving National Squad status.
Enjoys all sports and is always looking for ways to promote and involve people of all ages to the sport of Judo.
About Class Master Limited
Our coaches have been working in both State and Independent Schools since 2001 teaching, Judo, Self-Defence and general Sports. We enjoyed a good working relationship with the former local School Sport Partnerships and have an ongoing relationship with Borough Council Sports Development Officers and many local schools.
Judo is a multi – skills activity that has become increasingly popular as a curricular and extended-curricular sport in schools and has much to offer both female and male pupils in terms of fun, physical recreation, personal development and competition.
Many people have a pre-conceived notion of what they believe Judo to be, which is often wide of the mark.
It bears no resemblance whatsoever to many of the martial arts or contact sports that it is so often associated with. The sport contains No kicking or punching and the British Judo Association code of conduct includes respect, discipline, friendship and fair-play.
Pre-school sessions (approx 8.00 am – 8.45 am) are popular in many locations, lunchtime or after- school clubs may also be possible. As you would expect, all Coaches are qualified to BJA standards, hold a current First Aid certificate and possess a current enhanced CRB disclosure.
All School Key Stages of education can participate in the sport, in fact we have children as young as 4 enjoying the benefits of Judo. Being a multi-discipline activity, Judo incorporates something for everyone, it includes elements of Gymnastics, Dance, Rugby and Ballet – which builds confidence, whilst keeping them physically fit.
It’s also Great Fun!
